How to Choose A Digital Camera - Part One

Posted on Tuesday 14 August 2007

Pretty much everyone purchases a digital camera when it is time to buy a new one nowadays. However, it can be a little confusing to the novice, with so many options available from different sizes, viewfinders, storage capacity and mega pixels. Understanding the differences is the first step in understanding which digital camera will work best for your photography needs.
Digital photography has made some amazing technological advancements in the past few years. For starters, you cannot tell the difference between 35mm film prints and digital camera prints once they are developed, however the convenience of a digital camera cannot be overstated. You never need to buy film, you can instantly see the photo you have taken in the viewfinder and retake bad pictures right away without missing the moment.

Additionally, you can keep backup sets on your computer or transfer them to DVD or CD without out the need for negatives ever again. Enhancements and image tweaking is easy with digital pictures; from changing the color from black and white to color, to removing red eye and cropping images before printing.
